The Endress+Hauser Deltabar S FMD77 is a differential pressure transmitter built for continuous measurement of level, volume, mass, differential pressure and flow in demanding process applications. It belongs to the Deltabar S family and uses a metal process-isolating diaphragm; the FMD77 variant carries one flush diaphragm seal mounted directly on the process flange (high-pressure side), while the low-pressure side is a direct connection or a capillary. This decouples the electronics from the process and makes the device well suited to level in open and closed vessels, especially with hot or viscous media.
The measuring principle is a metal process-isolating diaphragm filled with oil that transfers the pressure to a resistance bridge (semiconductor technology); the change in bridge output voltage is proportional to the differential pressure. The patented TempC membrane minimizes errors caused by process and ambient temperature swings, and the HistoROM/M-DAT data module allows fast electronics replacement and parameter cloning.
The unit held by Barmaan (tag L23) carries the 500 mbar measuring cell (nominal span -500 to +500 mbar; nameplate DP -5000...5000 mmH2O), 4-20 mA with superimposed HART protocol, and 316L wetted diaphragm with FKM seal. Reference accuracy is up to +/-0.075% of the set span (excluding diaphragm-seal error), turn down up to 100:1, nominal pressure PN 160 with overpressure limit up to 160 bar one-sided and 240 bar both-sided.
Deltabar S is designed up to SIL 3 per IEC 61508 (certified by TUV SUD) for safety-instrumented flow and DP monitoring. This device carries an ATEX flameproof approval (Ex db IIC, KEMA 04 ATEX 2018) and IP66/IP67 ingress protection, making it suitable for oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, power and water/wastewater plants.

Per the nameplate it uses the 500 mbar measuring cell with a nominal differential-pressure range of -5000 to +5000 mmH2O (approx. -500 to +500 mbar). It is calibrated/adjusted to 400...3650 mmH2O and can be re-ranged within the cell limits (smallest calibratable span 5 mbar, turn down up to 100:1).
