This listing covers Micro Motion F-Series Coriolis mass flowmeters in size F300 (3 in / DN 80), each with a Model 1700 transmitter mounted integrally on the sensor. Five physical meters were photographed at Barmaan's warehouse; the unit list on this page states which of them are currently available. Every «Barmaan stock» photograph is of these actual devices — sensor nameplate, transmitter nameplate and flange edge stamp included.
These are second-hand, field-returned instruments, not new stock. They were built between 2003 and 2009 and arrived carrying a previous owner's marks: a third-party accuracy-verification label dated September 2022, a calibration certificate that expired in 2020, marker writing on the bodies and process staining. Barmaan has not performed a functional test or an authenticity inspection on them and does not claim one. What this page does guarantee is that the photographs and the nameplate readings are of the device you would receive.
Two process-connection configurations are in stock and the difference matters at the flange face. Some units carry process-connection code 425 — a 4-inch ASME B16.5 Class 150 raised-face weld-neck flange on a 3-inch meter body, i.e. a 4×3 reducing flange with eight bolts. The others carry 355 — a plain 3-inch Class 150 flange with four bolts. Both readings are confirmed three ways: the edge stamp rolled into each flange («KERKAU A182 F316/316L 4X3 150 B16.5», «KERKAU USA A182 F316/316L 3 150»), the bolt count, and Emerson's own dimension table, which gives the same F300S body a 7½-inch flange OD for code 355 and a 9-inch OD for code 425 (Product Data Sheet PS-00603, Rev D, September 2006, p. 30 — the revision current when these meters were built; unchanged in Rev AK, August 2023). The unit picker filters on the FITTED flange, because that is what you bolt to.
A Coriolis meter is two devices bolted together, and on used equipment the transmitter is not always the one the sensor left the factory with. Each Model 1700 nameplate is stamped with the serial of the sensor it was married to at the factory. On the units where that plate could be photographed we checked it against the sensor underneath — and on one unit they do not match, so that head has been swapped at some point in the meter's life. That unit is marked as such in the unit list. Where no transmitter nameplate was photographed, this page states no transmitter order code at all.
Coriolis measurement is independent of viscosity, density and flow profile: two bent measuring tubes are driven at their resonant frequency, the passage of the medium creates a phase shift proportional to mass flow, and the resonant frequency itself is a direct function of density. The result is mass flow, volume flow, density and temperature from one instrument, with no straight upstream or downstream runs required. Every sensor plate read carries calibration code 1 — ±0.10 % of rate on liquid mass flow and ±0.001 g/cm³ (±1 kg/m³) on density (PS-00603 Rev D, p. 35). None carries a measurement application software option, so no petroleum or concentration (Brix) package is fitted. The transmitter's output character is A: a 4–20 mA loop with Bell 202 HART, one scalable frequency/pulse output, and RS-485 speaking HART or Modbus (PS-00400 Rev AB, p. 7). The Model 1700 has no FOUNDATION Fieldbus variant — that is a Model 2700 option.
The maximum pressure stamped on every calibration plate read is 18 bar at 25 °C per ASME B31.3, set by the Class-150 flanges rather than by the sensor body, which Emerson rates to 100 barg. The nameplate ambient range is −40 to +55 °C. The −100 to +204 °C process-temperature range is a model-line figure from the data sheet: no plate on these units states a process-temperature range, they refer to the ATEX instructions. Every sensor plate read is marked II 2 G Ex ib IIB T1–T5 under certificate BVS 03 ATEX E 176 X, and the transmitter plates that were photographed are marked II 2 G EEx d[ib] IIB+H2 T5 / II 2 D T65 °C, IP66, under DMT 01 ATEX E 082 X (CE 0575) — issued by Deutsche Montan Technologie GmbH, notified body 0158. Both certificate numbers end in «X», meaning special conditions for safe use apply. Neither transmitter plate carries a functional-safety option: software option 2 is Z, so no unit here is SIL-certified and none carries Smart Meter Verification.

Five physical meters were photographed at the warehouse and the unit list on this page states which of them are currently available. They are all the same sensor size — F300, 3 in / DN 80 — with a Model 1700 transmitter mounted integrally. The difference that decides whether a unit fits your line is the flange: some carry 4″×3″ ASME B16.5 Class 150 reducing flanges with eight bolts, the others plain 3″ Class 150 with four. The unit list also gives each meter's build year and its own flow calibration factor.

Every «Barmaan stock» photograph on this page, including each nameplate, is of these actual devices.
Not always, and this page says which. Every Model 1700 nameplate is stamped with the serial of the sensor it was paired with at the factory, so the two can be checked against each other. On the units where the transmitter nameplate could be photographed we did exactly that — and on one of them the numbers do not match, meaning that head was swapped at some point in service. That unit is marked in the unit list. This matters because a buyer ordering a spare will read the order code: on a swapped head the code describes the meter the head came from, not the one it is now on.
Output character «A» in the Model 1700 order code: an active 4–20 mA loop with Bell 202 HART superimposed, one scalable frequency/pulse output (also configurable as a discrete output), and an RS-485 port speaking HART or Modbus. Supply is self-switching, 18–100 V DC or 85–265 V AC. The Model 1700 has no FOUNDATION Fieldbus or Profibus-PA variant at all — those are Model 2700 options (Emerson PS-00400 Rev AB, p. 7). If you plan to change the transmitter, note Emerson's own footnote: an F300 sensor works only with transmitters that have MVD Technology (PS-00603 Rev D, p. 3, note 5).
The plates are marked for it: every sensor nameplate read carries II 2 G Ex ib IIB T1–T5 under certificate BVS 03 ATEX E 176 X, and the transmitter nameplates that were photographed carry II 2 G EEx d[ib] IIB+H2 T5 / II 2 D T65 °C with IP66 under DMT 01 ATEX E 082 X (CE 0575). Two things a buyer should know. Both certificate numbers end in «X», which under the ATEX scheme means special conditions for safe use apply — for DMT 01 ATEX E 082 X those are the cable-entry rules below −20 °C ambient and the stopping-box requirement with certified conduit entries. And Barmaan does not hold or supply the certificate documents for these particular devices; what is offered is the photographed marking, and the Ex compliance assessment for your installation remains yours.
