The Rosemount 8800D from Emerson is an industrial vortex flowmeter that measures the volumetric flow of liquids, gases and steam on the von Kármán vortex-shedding principle: as fluid passes the shedder bar it sheds vortices at a frequency proportional to velocity, and an isolated sensor converts that frequency into flow rate. With no moving parts and an all-welded, gasket-free meter body, it removes leak points and raises process availability.
What Barmaan has in stock are EIGHT individual second-hand meters, not one configuration. They were built between 2008 and 2015 in Emerson's Eden Prairie (USA) and Nanjing (China) plants, and every fact below was read off their own nameplates and flange stamps. Three body styles are represented: standard flanged, Reducer (metering body one nominal size below the line, which raises bore velocity and extends the low-flow range) and dual-sensor. Fitted process connections are 2 in ASME B16.5 Class 150 (five units), 1½ in ASME B16.5 Class 150 (two units) and DN 80 EN 1092-1 PN 40 (one unit). Five units output 4–20 mA with HART; three are FOUNDATION Fieldbus. Wetted parts on all eight are 316/316L stainless with a CF-3M cast body, and every one carries an LCD indicator. For the model line as Emerson publishes it: volumetric accuracy is ±0.65% of rate on liquids (Reynolds > 20,000) and ±1.0% of rate on gas and steam (Reynolds > 15,000), repeatability ±0.1% of actual flow, long-term stability ±0.1% of rate over a year. The standard-temperature sensor — which is what every legible plate in this stock says — covers −40 to +450 °F (−40 to +232 °C); enclosure protection is CSA Type 4X / IP66; HART transmitters run on 10.8–42 V DC at 1 W maximum and Fieldbus transmitters on 9–32 V DC / 20 mA.
Key strengths of the design are an isolated sensor that can be replaced without breaking the process seal, Adaptive Digital Signal Processing for vibration immunity and no zero drift, and an optional MultiVariable integral temperature sensor for saturated-steam mass flow (one unit in this stock, F127, carries it). Typical applications are saturated and superheated steam, natural gas, boiler feedwater, plant utilities and chemical or petrochemical process flow.
A note we would rather write than leave out: on five of these eight meters the order code printed on the transmitter nameplate does not match the meter body it is bolted to — different line size, and on three of them a different flange class as well. Where they disagree this page states the FITTED flange, because that is what you bolt to, corroborated by the stamp rolled into the flange edge, the bolt count and Rosemount's own body plate on the meter neck. The factory order code stays visible on each unit card as exactly what it is.

Eight second-hand meters, built 2008–2015. Five are fitted with 2 in ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges, two with 1½ in ASME Class 150 and one with DN 80 EN 1092-1 PN 40. Five output 4–20 mA with HART; three are FOUNDATION Fieldbus. Three body styles are represented — standard flanged (3), Reducer (2) and dual sensor (3). The fitted flange, which is what this page states. On five of the eight the transmitter nameplate's order code describes a different line size, and on three of those a different pressure class as well. In each case the fitted flange is confirmed independently: the stamp rolled into the flange edge, the bolt count (a 2 in Class 150 flange has four bolts, Class 300 has eight) and Rosemount's own body plate on the meter neck, which reads 275 psig / 1.90 MPa at 100 °F — the Class 150 figure. The factory order code is printed on every unit card as well, so nothing is hidden; but if you are ordering spares or a replacement sensor, quote the serial number and let Emerson resolve the build.
Used. All eight are field-returned instruments built between 2008 and 2015, and several still carry the loop tags a previous plant gave them. They are physically in Barmaan's warehouse and every photograph on this page is of the actual device you would receive, nameplate included. They have not been bench-tested or graded for health or authenticity, and no calibration certificate accompanies them — if you need one, ask before ordering.
Per Emerson's product data sheet, volumetric accuracy is ±0.65% of rate for liquids (Reynolds > 20,000) and ±1.0% of rate for gas and steam (Reynolds > 15,000). Repeatability is ±0.1% of actual flow rate and long-term stability ±0.1% of rate over one year. These are model-line figures for a meter in calibration; none of the units in this stock arrives with a current calibration certificate.
Yes — the 8800D measures saturated and superheated steam, with volumetric accuracy of ±1.0% of rate. Compensated saturated-steam MASS flow needs the MultiVariable option (an integral temperature sensor), and exactly one unit in this stock has it: F127. Note also that every legible plate here is the standard-temperature sensor, −40 to +232 °C, so superheated steam above that is out of range for these particular meters.
It varies per unit, so read the card. Two units (F124, F122) carry ATEX intrinsic safety — order-code I1, with the certificate plate reading Baseefa05ATEX0084X, Ex ia IIC T4 Ga, −60 to +70 °C ambient. Two (F121, F123) carry E6, US/Canadian explosion-proof and dust-ignition-proof, with a CSA plate reading Ex d[ia] IIC T6, CSA06.1674267. One (F128) carries K6, the combined US/Canadian set. Three (F127, F125, F126) have no approval code in their order string at all and are ordinary-location builds, though they do bear the FM mark. Every enclosure on all eight is CSA Type 4X / IP66.
On the 8800D design the sensor is isolated from the process, so it can be removed and replaced without breaking the process seal, draining the line or cutting into the pipe. Replacement under full line pressure is the Critical-Process option (CPA) and is ordered with the meter; none of the units in this stock carries that option code, so plan on a normal depressurised swap.
